Selank and Semax stack: finding the sweet spot for focus

I’ve been experimenting with a Selank and Semax stack for about three weeks now to help with my ADHD-like symptoms and general work-related stress. I’m currently dosing 200mcg of Semax in the morning and 150mcg of Selank in the afternoon. The mental clarity is definitely there—my HRV improved from 35ms to 52ms over the last 14 days, which I attribute to the reduced cortisol response from the Selank. However, I’m finding that if I take the Semax too late in the day, I have a hard time winding down for sleep. Does anyone have experience adjusting the timing of these two? I’m considering moving the Semax to a 7 AM dose and keeping the Selank for my 3 PM 'slump' period. Also, curious if anyone has added Epithalon to this for long-term neuroprotection?

It is great to hear you are tracking your HRV; that 17ms jump is a significant indicator of improved autonomic nervous system regulation. The 'late day' stimulation you are experiencing with Semax is common due to its upregulation of BDNF and NGF, which increases dopaminergic and serotonergic activity in the brain. Since Semax has a relatively long half-life, it is effectively keeping your CNS in a heightened state of alertness longer than desired. Many in the community have found better success by front-loading the Semax earlier in the morning—ideally before 8 AM—to allow for a more natural decline in neurotransmitter activity by evening. If you still struggle with winding down, you might consider shifting your Selank dose to be taken slightly closer to the evening rather than the afternoon, as its ability to modulate the GABAergic system can act as a useful counterbalance to the lingering stimulatory effects of the Semax. As always, keep tracking those metrics and listen to your body, as individual receptor sensitivity varies wildly with these compounds.
