GHK-Cu for skin health: Is it worth the daily sting?

I’ve been using GHK-Cu for about three weeks now to help with some lingering skin texture issues and general anti-aging. I’m doing 2mg daily, but man, the injection site sting is real! It’s definitely more uncomfortable than my BPC-157 shots. I’ve tried diluting it slightly more with bacteriostatic water, which helps a little, but it’s still pretty sharp. Has anyone found a 'sweet spot' for injection sites that hurt less? Maybe switching to a different gauge needle? On the positive side, my skin does look a bit more vibrant, and a small scar on my forearm seems to be fading faster than usual. I’m just trying to decide if the discomfort is worth the long-term payoff. Would love to hear if others have found ways to mitigate the sting or if I should just suck it up.

It is common for GHK-Cu to cause a localized sting due to the copper ion chelation, which creates a lower pH compared to other peptides like BPC-157. Since GHK-Cu is often used for its systemic collagen synthesis and fibroblast stimulation, many users find that subcutaneous injections in areas with higher subcutaneous fat, like the 'love handle' area or upper glutes, are significantly less painful than thinner tissue areas. You might also try using a 31-gauge 5/16" insulin syringe to minimize tissue trauma, as smaller diameters reduce nerve stimulation during entry. Ensure you are allowing the alcohol swab to dry completely before injecting, as the residual solvent can intensify that burning sensation upon entry. If the irritation persists, some users find that moving to topical GHK-Cu or reducing the frequency while maintaining the same total weekly dosage helps manage the site sensitivity without sacrificing the long-term benefits to your skin elasticity. Hang in there—the skin remodeling benefits usually become more visible after the six-week mark.
