Bloodwork check: 3 months on CJC-1295/Ipamorelin

Just got my latest labs back after 12 weeks on a CJC-1295/Ipamorelin protocol (100mcg/100mcg nightly). My IGF-1 levels moved from 180 ng/mL to 245 ng/mL, which my physician is happy with. I’ve definitely noticed better sleep quality and faster recovery after my lifting sessions, but I’m curious if anyone else has experienced mild water retention in the first few months? It’s not severe, but I definitely feel a bit 'fuller' in the mornings. I’m also wondering if I should cycle off for a few weeks or if it’s safe to continue at this dose. My goal is body recomposition, and I’m seeing some decent fat loss around the midsection, but I want to make sure I’m not pushing my system too hard. Any thoughts on long-term cycling protocols?

Congratulations on the solid improvement in your IGF-1 levels; that jump to 245 ng/mL suggests you are responding well to the protocol. The morning fullness you are experiencing is quite common with CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin. Because these peptides significantly stimulate pulsatile growth hormone release, they can occasionally trigger a transient increase in aldosterone or shifts in intracellular fluid balance, leading to that 'full' feeling. Many users find this settles down as the body adjusts, but maintaining adequate hydration and monitoring sodium intake can often help mitigate it. Regarding your question on cycling, many experienced users adopt a '5 days on, 2 days off' or a '3 months on, 1 month off' approach to prevent receptor desensitization and to allow the pituitary gland to reset. Discussing a brief washout period with your physician is a wise move, as it provides a baseline to see how your levels hold once the external stimulation is removed. Keep tracking those labs; they are the best indicator of your progress.
