Bloodwork check: 3 months on CJC-1295/Ipamorelin

Just got my latest labs back after 3 months on a CJC-1295/Ipamorelin protocol (100mcg/100mcg nightly). My IGF-1 levels moved from 180 ng/mL to 245 ng/mL, which is exactly where my doctor wanted them. I've definitely noticed better sleep quality and faster recovery after my heavy lifting sessions. However, I'm seeing a slight increase in fasting glucose levels. Has anyone else noticed a metabolic shift while on this stack? I'm not sure if it's the peptide or just my diet slipping a bit. I'm currently 42, male, and training 5 days a week. I'm planning to keep the dose the same for another month and tighten up my carb intake to see if the glucose levels stabilize. Would love to hear if anyone else has had to adjust their diet to accommodate the GH secretagogue effects.

Great job on tracking your markers so diligently. That jump in IGF-1 confirms the peptide is clearly doing its job in stimulating endogenous growth hormone secretion via the pituitary. Regarding your fasting glucose, it is actually a known physiological response. Growth hormone (and by extension, the IGF-1 axis) has a well-documented insulin-antagonistic effect; it promotes lipolysis but can simultaneously induce peripheral insulin resistance as the body shifts toward fat oxidation. When GH levels rise, it is very common for fasting glucose to tick upward, especially if your intake of processed carbohydrates hasn't been strictly moderated. Before assuming it is just diet, I would recommend evaluating your fasting insulin alongside that glucose to get a clearer picture of your HOMA-IR. Many users find that keeping post-workout carbs clean and potentially incorporating berberine or mild exercise shortly after your final meal helps mitigate this metabolic shift. Definitely keep an eye on your HbA1c in your next panel to ensure this remains a transient shift and not a long-term trend. Keep up the consistent tracking!
