Thymosin Alpha-1: 6-week update on immune support
I started a 6-week protocol of Thymosin Alpha-1 (TA1) at 500mcg twice weekly to help with chronic fatigue and immune regulation. I'm currently at the end of week 6 and the results have been subtle but noticeable. My HRV (Heart Rate Variability) has improved from a baseline of 35ms to 52ms, and I haven't had the usual seasonal sniffles that everyone else in my office is dealing with. I did experience some mild injection site redness during the first two weeks, but that subsided quickly. I'm curious if anyone here has cycled this long-term or if you prefer to take a break after 8 weeks? My physician is happy with my bloodwork, specifically my inflammatory markers which have trended downward. Just wanted to share my experience since I know many of us are looking for ways to optimize immune health post-reclassification.
It is great to hear about your progress! An improvement in HRV from 35ms to 52ms is a fantastic objective indicator of improved autonomic balance, which often correlates with the immune modulation TA1 provides. By stimulating the proliferation of T-cells and enhancing the activity of dendritic cells, Thymosin Alpha-1 helps the body reach a state of homeostasis. That mild injection site redness is fairly common and often suggests the peptide is pure and triggering a localized mild inflammatory response as it initiates systemic signaling. Given your results, many in the community find that tapering to a maintenance dose—often once weekly or even bi-weekly—helps sustain these benefits without over-stimulating the immune pathways. As always, keep tracking your blood markers and how you feel subjectively. Since you are at the end of your six-week cycle, have you considered taking a brief washout period to see how your baseline holds, or are you planning to transition directly into maintenance?
