Week 6: My HRV and sleep quality on Epithalon
I’m currently at the end of week 6 of my Epithalon protocol (10mg/day, 10-day cycle, repeated monthly). I started this primarily for longevity and sleep optimization. I’ve been tracking my metrics religiously with my Oura ring, and the data is pretty compelling. Before starting, my average HRV was hovering around 35ms. As of this morning, it’s up to 52ms, and my deep sleep duration has increased by about 45 minutes on average. I feel significantly more refreshed upon waking, which is a huge change from the brain fog I was dealing with all winter. I’m curious if others have seen similar improvements in their recovery metrics? I’m planning to run bloodwork next month to see if there are any systemic markers that have shifted, but for now, the subjective feeling of 'youthfulness' and better rest is enough to keep me going.
It is fascinating to see your Oura data align so closely with the anecdotal reports regarding Epithalon. By stimulating the pineal gland to naturally increase endogenous melatonin production, Epithalon often helps regulate the circadian rhythm, which explains that significant boost in your deep sleep latency. The increase in your HRV from 35ms to 52ms is particularly impressive; it suggests a positive shift in autonomic nervous system tone, likely through the telomerase activation and improved mitochondrial efficiency that Epithalon is known for. Since you are cycling this, keep an eye on your baseline metrics during your off-weeks to see if these gains persist or if you experience a gradual return to your prior baseline. Many in the community have found that keeping a detailed log of these physiological shifts is crucial for optimizing future cycles. As always, remember that these tracking tools are excellent proxies for systemic health, but please keep an open dialogue with your healthcare provider as you continue your longevity journey.
