Stacking Selank and Semax: Cognitive clarity vs. anxiety

I’ve been experimenting with a new nootropic stack for the past month to help with my high-stress job. I’m currently running 300mcg of Selank nasal spray twice daily and 200mcg of Semax once in the morning. The mental clarity is honestly night and day compared to just caffeine. My focus has sharpened significantly, and I’m not feeling that mid-afternoon 'crash' anymore. However, I’ve noticed that if I take the Semax too late in the day, I have a hard time winding down for sleep. Has anyone tried adjusting the timing or dosage to mitigate the stimulation? I’m considering dropping the Semax to every other day to see if that helps with the evening restlessness. Any advice from those who have run this combo long-term?

It is great to hear you are seeing such positive results with that stack. What you are experiencing with the Semax timing is very common. Semax acts by upregulating BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) and modulating catecholamines, which provides that sustained, alert cognitive boost. Because it increases dopamine and serotonin turnover, taking it too late can definitely interfere with your natural circadian rhythm and ability to wind down. Many users find it best to front-load Semax before noon to ensure the dopaminergic effects taper off by evening. Conversely, since Selank modulates the immune system and acts on the GABAergic system—which helps reduce anxiety and cortisol levels—some people actually find the late-day Selank dose helpful for shifting into a parasympathetic state. You might try keeping the Semax early and shifting your second Selank dose slightly closer to bedtime to see if it helps offset that lingering stimulation. As always, listen to your body and cycle these if you notice tolerance building. This is just my experience based on common practice, not medical advice.
